Craig joined UKATA in November 2011, formerly the General Manager, he was appointed as Chief Operating Officer (COO) in July 2018.
Working closely with the UKATA board of directors, Craig’s strategic role drives the organisation to achieve its membership growth aspirations and elevate its reputation further within industry as a leading body in asbestos training.
He has been instrumental in guiding the association through the pandemic by offering members financial support and by developing a virtual training and online exam system, enabling members to continue training using virtual platforms. Virtual training is now a staple training delivery method for the future.
In addition, he steered the association to achieve ISO 45001:2018 and ISO 9001:2015 certifications.
In 2022, Craig founded the Mavis Nye Foundation Cycle Club, a charity bike riding challenge set with the goal to raise awareness of asbestos-related cancer, mesothelioma. All proceeds raised will benefit the Mavis Nye Foundation, to support mesothelioma victims and fund grants for disease treatment research.
Craig has previously worked in the legal sector for seven years and has more than ten years of experience in senior leadership and management roles throughout his career.
