Andy Wood
Andy has been involved in health and safety for over 20 years stating out as a local Trade Union Health & Safety Representative leading to holding a National Health & Safety position. His background is mainly healthcare; however he has worked across a number of industries supporting SMEs in their health & safety remit.
In the course of his work as a former Paramedic, Andy has worked alongside many Fire & Rescue Personnel and witnessed the tragedies of fire.
As a Certified IOSH member, Andy later trained as a Fire Risk Assessor following which he was asked to support the research into fire safety in multi-storey car parks (MSCPs) later becoming a cop-opted member of IOSH’s Fire Safety Risk Management Group”. He is also an Associate member of Fire Safety Managers (IFSM) and member of the National Association of Healthcare Fire Officers (NAHFO)
