My relationship with gambling began as early as 13 years old and then spanned nearly thirty years, accelerating and deepening throughout my two decades career in the police service. After experiencing the severe financial, personal and professional costs of gambling addiction, I entered sustained recovery 7.5 years ago. Since then, I have channelled my lived experience into purpose, dedicating myself to providing vital support to those navigating their own recovery and raising awareness of the devastating but often hidden effects of gambling harms.
