John worked in the Emergency Services for 20 years predominantly as a Firefighter with Bedfordshire Fire and Rescue Service. He spent 4 years as a Fire Safety Inspecting Officer specialising as the HiMO Officer.
He was the Head of Fire and Health & Safety for Imperial College London, the Director of Operations for Keystone Fire Safety Ltd, the Fire Engineering Manager for the John Lewis Partnership and is currently the Fire Safety Manager for dnata Catering UK Ltd. He is also the Director of Zac Thomas Safety Ltd and the Chair of the IOSH Fire Risk Management Community.
John has a teaching degree and a Masters in Risk and Safety leadership. He is the Lead Risk Assessor for Keystone Fire Safety under the BAFE SP205 system and tutors on the Fire Safety (Inspectors) qualifications for Oxford Safety LtdSessions
