Sara Gibbs
Sara Gibbs is a Standards Development Manager at the British Standards Institution (BSI), leading high-profile work on personal protective equipment (PPE) and inclusive design. She spearheaded the development of BS 30417: Provision of Inclusive PPE, setting a new benchmark for how organisations procure and provide PPE that works for all users.
Sara draws on first-hand experience as a PPE wearer alongside her work with government, industry leaders, and worker representatives to drive change. She is a passionate advocate for inclusive safety, championing the role of standards as a practical tool to improve outcomes for diverse workforces. A regular speaker at national and international events, she brings insight into how collaboration and standardisation can accelerate progress towards safer, more inclusive workplaces
