    Sarah Newton, Chair of the Health and Safety Executive, will talk about the organisations priorities in 2026 to deliver on their People and Places Strategy. This includes a particular focus on preventing work-related ill health, how this work supports the UK Government’s commitment to growth and the steps employers can take to reduce risk within their own workplaces.

    Alexander Tsavalos, Intervention Design Group Unit lead in the Health and Safety Executive, will talk about some of HSE’s priorities for the 2026-27 work year as part of its work to deliver their People and Places Strategy. This will include the different ways HSE intervenes to drive change with a particular focus on preventing work-related ill health, and how leaders treating health risks in the same way they do about other management issues including traditional safety concerns could reduce the risk of ill health within their own workplaces.

As part of this expanded role, HSE will deliver two opening keynote presentations at the beginning of each day of the show, tackling the most urgent issues shaping the future of workplace safety. These high-impact sessions will provide authoritative insight into regulatory priorities, emerging risks, and the practical steps organisations must take to remain compliant and resilient.
 



 

MEET THE INSPECTOR

The HSE stand will give visitors the opportunity to meet an inspector in an informal, one-to-one setting. They will be able to hear about a range of topics, including noise and vibration, occupational health and incident investigation.

Spotlight Seminars

HSE will also lead an extended programme of spotlight seminars in their on-stand mini theatre, giving attendees access to small-group Q&A sessions and real-world guidance from specialist inspectors and product experts.

These intimate, interactive sessions - combined with live demonstrations will allow visitors to explore complex challenges in depth and see regulatory expectations in action. They will also have the chance to learn more about the solutions available from HSE to help them protect their colleagues and workplaces, including training, books and tools, testing and consultancy services.

HSE Partnership Forum

Safety, Health & Wellbeing Live 2026 will host the HSE Partnership Forum, bringing together senior leaders from industry, enforcement bodies, government and the innovation community to focus on shared priorities for improving workplace health and safety across the UK.

The forum will provide a dedicated space for open dialogue between regulators and those responsible for delivering safety on the ground. Discussions will centre on aligning expectations, sharing insight and identifying practical ways to strengthen safety culture, compliance and continuous improvement.
