Health and Safety Hero competition terms and conditions
1. Promoter
The competition is promoted by What Else Events, registered at Raven House, 29 Linkfield Lane, Redhill, Surrey, England, RH1 1SS ("the Promoter").
2. Eligibility
The competition is open to residents of the United Kingdom aged 18 or over, except for employees of the Promoter, their immediate family members, and anyone professionally connected with the administration of this competition. The nominees must work within the health & safety sector.
Nominees may be based anywhere in the world, but the nominator must meet the eligibility criteria above to qualify for the prize.
3. How to enter
To enter, nominators must complete the nomination form at https://www.safetyhealthwellbeing.live/health-safety-hero-nomination-form and submit it before the closing date. The nomination must include the nominee's name, their organisation, and a description of why they deserve the Health and Safety Hero title.
No purchase is necessary to enter. One nomination per person. Nominations submitted by any other means will not be accepted.
4. Closing date
Nominations must be received by 23:59 on 5 June 2025. Nominations received after this time will not be considered.
5. Selection of winner
The winner will be selected by a judging panel appointed by the Promoter. Judging will take place following the closing date. The panel's decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into. The winner will be announced live at Safety, Health and Wellbeing Live London on 1-2 July 2025.
6. Prizes
The winner (nominee) will receive: the Health and Safety Hero title and one Fortnum & Mason hamper of their choice, up to the value of £200.

Where more than one person has nominated the same winner, the nominator's prize will be awarded by random draw from all qualifying nominators of that entry. The draw will take place on 22 June 2026 at What Else Events Ltd offices.
7. Prize conditions
Prizes are non-transferable and there is no cash alternative. The Promoter reserves the right to substitute a prize of equal or greater value if circumstances make this necessary.
Hamper selections must be made within 14 days of notification. Failure to respond within this period may result in the prize being forfeited and an alternative winner selected.
8. Notification of winners
Winners will be notified by email using the contact details provided at the time of entry. If a winner cannot confirm attendance at Safety, Health & Wellbeing Live London 2026, the Promoter reserves the right to select an alternative winner.
9. Publicity
By entering, nominators agree that the Promoter may use their name and nomination content for publicity purposes in connection with this competition, including on the Promoter's website and social media channels. The winner's name and organisation may be published following the announcement at Safety, Health and Wellbeing Live London.
10. Data protection
Personal data submitted as part of a nomination will be used solely for the administration of this competition and will not be shared with third parties without consent, except where required by law. Data will be handled in accordance with the Promoter's privacy policy, available at https://www.safetyhealthwellbeing.live/privacy-policy. Data will be retained for 18 months following the close of the competition and then securely deleted.
11. General
The Promoter reserves the right to cancel, amend or withdraw this competition, or to amend these terms and conditions, at any time without prior notice. Any changes will be posted at https://www.safetyhealthwellbeing.live/visiting/nominate-health-safety-hero.
The Promoter accepts no responsibility for entries that are lost, delayed or incomplete due to technical or other reasons.
This competition is governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
